Behind every national park is a team of ordinary people who are dedicated to maintaining the extraordinary. They may not wear capes, but they're heroes in our book. Meet the individuals who protect our parks and send thanks to an NPS employee or volunteer who made your last visit extra special.

National Park Ambassadors
They maintain habitats, educate visitors, and preserve history. They're rangers, museum curators, engineers, volunteers, landscape architects, and fire fighters. They're the treasured stewards of our national parks. They're National Park Ambassadors.

Thank you, Mesa Verde Rangers.Had a wonderful day of hiking & exploring. The Rangers were excellent. Everyone we interacted with were very helpful. So happy to be back to the park after 35 years. And happy that the native story of the area and its significance has greatly improved.

Thank you, The woman running the Junior Ranger program in Rocky Mountain NP.I'm sorry, I didn't get the name. But you helped our children (aged 10) with introduction to, and completion of the Junior Ranger program. They only speak English as a second language and are still on a basic level. But you took the time needed to speak with them, so they could pass the tests without the interference of parental translation service.
Thank you.

Thank you, ALL PARK RANGERS.To All of the National Parks and all of the Park Rangers:
I want to thank each and everyone of you at all the National Parks for all you do everyday. Be it talks on the trails, educational talks, protecting park goers from weather events, alerts to things happening in the parks, etc... and many more things you all take care of behind the scenes. I am a senior citizen now and some of my first connections to nature was aided by many park rangers and the talks they gave to my family and myself every time I have gone to a National Park. All of you never really get to know how many lives you have touched and how many people you have talked to that now appreciate nature. Thank you for enriching my life.
