Behind every national park is a team of ordinary people who are dedicated to maintaining the extraordinary. They may not wear capes, but they're heroes in our book. Meet the individuals who protect our parks and send thanks to an NPS employee or volunteer who made your last visit extra special.

National Park Ambassadors
They maintain habitats, educate visitors, and preserve history. They're rangers, museum curators, engineers, volunteers, landscape architects, and fire fighters. They're the treasured stewards of our national parks. They're National Park Ambassadors.

Thank you, All the people who love our land and our animals❤️.In June of 2023, my BFF and I enjoyed 6 wonderful days in Yellowstone. In our travels looking to enjoy the park, we saw rangers manage people putting themselves and animals at great risk. Also, after learning about the death of Grizzly 399, I was very thankful for the compassionate decision to cremate her and spread her ashes at Pilgrims Creek. Our parks, both federal and state, are wonderful places staffed by people with a great appreciation for nature!
